Lisa Wong – Founder & COO
With over 30 years in the food service industry, Lisa Wong is a leading restaurateur and the visionary behind several successful establishments, including Rosario’s and Ácenar. Her commitment to authentic flavors and vibrant dining atmospheres has solidified her reputation in San Antonio’s culinary scene.

Pete Selig – Founder & President
Renowned for his work with Biga on the Banks & Maverick Texas Brasserie, Pete Selig co-founded Ácenar alongside Lisa Wong in 2005. His extensive experience in the restaurant industry and dedication to excellence have been instrumental in establishing Ácenar as a premier destination for contemporary Mexican cuisine on the San Antonio River Walk.

Richard Sanchez – Executive Chef
Leading our culinary team is Executive Chef Richard Sanchez, whose innovative approach infuses bold Latin flavors into every dish. Chef Sanchez’s modern take on Texas regional Mexican dishes delights guests with selections like Gulf fish, savory enchiladas, and sizzling parrilladas, all crafted to perfection.

Patty Deptawa – General Manager
Since Ácenar’s inception on the San Antonio River Walk, General Manager Patty Deptawa has been a cornerstone of our team. With over 20 years of dedicated service, Patty ensures that every guest enjoys an amazing experience, sharing her knowledge of the brand and the rich history of the River Walk.

Gus Rodriguez – Banquet Manager
Gus Rodriguez has been an integral part of Ácenar since 2006. Starting as a server and bartender, he has advanced to bar manager and event coordinator roles. Gus’s commitment to customer satisfaction and his expertise in managing events make him a vital member of our leadership team.
